Next Chapter App
App Safety, Privacy & FAQ
How the Next Chapter App is designed to protect you — and what it can and cannot do.
How it works
Safety principles
01
Verification
Every member is verified before connecting with others. [Describe the planned verification method — e.g. identity check by a trusted provider — once confirmed.]
02
Location sharing & consent
Location sharing is off by default, always time-limited and only visible to the people you choose. You can stop sharing at any moment.
03
Trusted contacts & SOS
You choose trusted contacts. The SOS concept alerts them with your shared details — it does not contact emergency services for you.
04
You stay in control
See what you share, with whom and until when. Leave a circle, remove a contact or delete your account at any time.
05
Privacy & security
Data is kept to the minimum, protected in transit and at rest, and never sold. [Add hosting region and security details when confirmed.]
06
Family access, with consent
A trusted person can see limited information only if you invite them — and you can withdraw access.
Honest boundaries
What the app does — and does not — guarantee
The app will help you
- Share plans and check-ins with people you trust
- Get a reminder when a check-in is missed
- Meet verified members
- Keep control of your information
The app cannot
- Replace emergency services — always call local emergency numbers in danger
- Guarantee your safety or another member’s behaviour
- Work without a phone signal or battery
- Verify everything a member says about themselves
Questions & answers
Still have a question? Use the contact form and choose “Next Chapter App”.
When will the app launch?
The app is in development. Join the waitlist on the Next Chapter App page and we will email you about the private beta and the launch date.
Is the app free?
[Pricing to be confirmed.] We will publish clear information before launch.
Who can join the app?
The app is designed for women in the Next Chapter Circle. Every member will be verified before they can connect with others.
Can people see where I am?
No — not unless you choose to share your location, with specific people, for a limited time. You can stop sharing at any moment.
What happens when I press SOS?
The SOS concept notifies your trusted contacts with the details you have chosen to share. It does not contact the police or emergency services; in danger, call the local emergency number.
Can my family use the app?
Yes, as trusted persons with limited access — only if you invite them, and you can remove them at any time.
Will you sell my data?
No. We do not sell personal data. The App Privacy & Safety page and the Privacy Policy explain what we collect and why.
Do I need the app to be part of the Circle?
No. The Circle continues on Facebook, and you can join events and use the resources on this website without the app.
Which languages will it support?
English and French are planned first. [Confirm language plans.]
