The Origin Story

Rooted in Heritage.
Designed for the Future.

Karima Tachelhit is an author, creator, and cultural curator bridging the ancient wisdom of her Amazigh ancestors with the demands of modern ambition.

The Creator

A Life Lived in Translation

At her core, Karima is a translator—converting the unspoken rhythms of traditional North African life into a highly structured, profoundly relevant ecosystem for the modern world. As an author and cultural architect, she recognized early on that the prevailing narratives of “hustle culture” were fundamentally incompatible with sustainable human flourishing.

Her personal journey began at the intersection of burnout and realization. Navigating high-pressure environments, Karima found herself disconnected from the grounding practices of her youth. It was only by returning to her roots—studying the intentionality of traditional artisans, the communal resting rhythms of the Atlas villages, and the deep connection to seasonal cycles—that the Karima Tachelhit Universe was born.

Today, she positions herself not as a guru, but as a guide and fellow traveler. Through her writing, community building, and design philosophies, she curates spaces—both physical and intellectual—where modern individuals can reclaim their time, honor their heritage, and build lives of authentic harmony.

Cultural Grounding

The Amazigh Heritage

The name Tachelhit is an homage to the indigenous Amazigh language of the Shilha people of the High Atlas Mountains. This ecosystem is not merely “inspired by” Morocco; it is structurally built upon Amazigh values: Awal (the power of the spoken word and storytelling), Akal (the deep connection to the land), and Afgan (the primacy of human connection).

Awal
The spoken word & storytelling
Akal
Connection to the land
Afgan
The primacy of human connection

By integrating these ancestral philosophies, Karima ensures that every book published, every community gathered, and every object curated carries the weight of a lineage that has thrived in harmony with nature for millennia.

The Ecosystem

Five Pillars, One Universe

The Karima Tachelhit Universe is a holistic ecosystem. They are not separate businesses, but interconnected chambers of a single philosophy. They are designed to support the mind, the community, the intellect, the body, and the home.

1. Asalas Method

The Foundation (Internal)

The core methodology. Asalas provides the structural habits, wellness philosophies, and somatic practices required to live intentionally. It is the internal operating system for the entire universe.

2. Next Chapter Circle

The Community (Relational)

A private gathering space for individuals applying the methodology. Where Asalas is the theory, the Circle is the communal practice—fostering deep relationships, accountability, and collective growth.

3. Tullist & Abride

The Voice (Intellectual)

Translating to “Story & Path,” this is the publishing arm. It houses the literature, journals, and intellectual frameworks that articulate the ecosystem’s values, preserving them in written form.

4. Atlas & Ocean

The Exploration (Physical)

The physical manifestation of the brand’s connection to nature. Curating outdoor experiences, retreats, and apparel that encourage moving through the world with respect, resilience, and awe.

5. Maison Taziza

The Sanctuary (Environmental)

Our environment dictates our nervous system. Maison Taziza curates the physical space—offering homewares, ceramics, and textiles rooted in Moroccan craftsmanship to turn a house into an Asalas-aligned sanctuary.

“The Asalas Method provides the internal foundation. Next Chapter Circle offers the community to grow within. Tullist & Abride tells the stories that inspire us. Atlas & Ocean grounds us in the natural world. Maison Taziza creates the physical sanctuary for rest.”

Our Compass

Philosophy & Values

Slow Growth over Rapid Scale

We believe in organic, sustainable development. Like the Olive tree, deep roots matter more than fast, fragile branches.

Authentic Cultural Resonance

Avoiding cultural appropriation by centering authentic Amazigh and Moroccan voices, ensuring traditional practices are honored, not commodified.

Holistic Integration

Rejecting the separation of 'work life' and 'personal life.' We advocate for a singular, harmonious existence where ambition and well-being coexist.

The Journey

Evolution of the Universe

The Roots

Heritage in the High Atlas

Immersed in the communal rhythms and slow craftsmanship of her ancestral Amazigh villages, the foundational worldview was quietly established.

The Realization

The Friction of Hustle Culture

Experiencing the unsustainable pace of modern professional environments, Karima sought a methodology to bridge ambition with ancestral rest. The Asalas Method is codified.

The Foundation

Birth of Tullist & Abride

The need to share these philosophies birthed the publishing wing, allowing the methodology to reach individuals seeking a new paradigm.

The Expansion

A Complete Ecosystem

Next Chapter Circle forms the community, Atlas & Ocean introduces physical exploration, and Maison Taziza brings the philosophy into the home. The Universe is whole.
